The John J. Cali School of Music is excited to announce a new graduate program that is the first of its kind in the New Jersey area \u2014the Advanced Certificate for Music Education<\/strong>.\u00a0Designed with today\u2019s educator in mind, the Advanced Certificate is a unique opportunity for music teachers at all levels and specializations to experience the benefits of graduate study without committing to a master\u2019s program. Applications for the program are now being accepted for the 2016-2017 academic year.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Advanced Certificate is great for teachers who want to advance their qualifications for career enhancement but can’t take the time to pursue a full master’s degree,” explained Dr. Lisa DeLorenzo, director of the program. “The program serves as a stand-alone credential; at the same time, 12 of the 15 credits can go towards the M.A. in Music Education for students who want to keep going.”<\/p>\n

Course Offerings, Faculty and Facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Course work in the Advanced Certificate for Music Education is focused on both pedagogical theory and hands-on strategies relevant to today\u2019s music classes.\u00a0 Classes are offered year-round, and are available in online, hybrid and in-classroom formats.<\/p>\n
