If you are a Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ State student with a great entrepreneurial idea, you can enter the university&#8217;s annual student pitch contest, which has a $10,000 prize. The contest&#8217;s official name is BulbHead.com Bright Ideas Inventors Day for Aspiring Entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the scoop:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>ELIGIBILITY: Open to any currently enrolled Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ State student, undergrad or grad. Individual students can&#8217;t <span class=\"il\">pitch<\/span>; they must be part of a student team (minimum of two Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ State students on a team). Everyone on the team must be a Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ State student. Student teams can receive outside help (ie, they may bring onboard a non-MSU student to be a web developer or advisor) but only Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ State students can pitch for the prize. Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ State students who pitched in this contest in the past are eligible, and can even keep the same team intact; however, they need to pitch a completely new idea.<\/p>\n<div>PROCESS\/DEADLINES: Students not in ENTR 301\/302 will need to submit a 2-minute video pitching their entrepreneurial idea, and a one-page executive summary. The one-page executive summary must follow the format, and contain all the info, shown in the sample at this link:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2kaSjpA\">bit.ly<span class=\"bitlink--hash\">\/2kaSjpA<\/span><\/a><br \/>\nAnyone who does not follow the rules will be automatically eliminated (examples of why a team might be eliminated: video longer than 2 minutes, exec summary longer than one page, required info missing from executive summary, etc. Note that these are examples, not a full list.). Video and exec summary are due by 5 p.m. March 15 to <a href=\"mailto:PitchContest@montclair.edu\" target=\"_blank\">PitchContest@montclair.edu<\/a>. Students must use their Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ State email address when applying. \u00a0By\u00a0April 1, students will be notified if they move on to the prelim round of the May 3 <span class=\"il\">pitch<\/span> contest.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"il\">PITCH<\/span> DAY, MAY 3: Prelim round during the day. Some teams will move on to the finals, held that evening.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>PRIZE: $10,000!!! Divided among team members. Can be spent on anything&#8211;don&#8217;t have to reinvest in the business.
