For example, you could choose to have students submit work via email or a Google form you create.<\/li>\n<li>University student course surveys for 14-week classes have an extended deadline of 8 a.m. on May 16.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Guidance for Summer terms starting May 11 (sessions A, B, D):<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In addition to Canvas, you have the following resources to further clear communication.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Syllabi:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">You and your students have access to your <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/montclair.simplesyllabus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/montclair.simplesyllabus.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1778377329698000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3snypgNWjdydbdlBmTJkEh\">Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Syllabus<\/a> outside of Canvas.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><strong>If you have not already done so, complete your syllabus and publish it<\/strong> (hit \u201csubmit\u201d at the bottom of the screen). When you hit \u201csubmit\u201d you will also get a pop-up with sharing links. Use one of these in your communications with students (see below for email strategies).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>To email your entire class: use Navigate or Banner Self-Service.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><div class='inset lt-gray'>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Through NEST\/Navigate:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Log onto NEST &gt; Navigate &gt; under Students In My Courses &gt; select Term. Click the box on the top left above the list of your students&#8217; names to select all. Under the \u201cActions\u201d dropdown menu: choose \u201cSend Message.\u201d A dialog box will appear for you to write your message. <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Documents and other attachments may be added to the message.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Note: You may also email individual students through Navigate by selecting the box next to their name.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Navigate users with Multiple Roles (e.g., Professor and Advisor)<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: If you have multiple roles, select <\/span>\u201cProfessor Home\u201d<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> at the top of your Navigate homepage to locate your class rosters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><\/p><\/div>\n<div class='inset lt-gray'>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Through NEST\/Banner Self Service:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Log onto NEST &gt; Banner Self-Service &gt; Faculty\/Advisor Services &gt; Summary Class List &gt; choose Term &gt; select Course &gt; at bottom, <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">click \u201cEmail class\u201d and choose a native mail option such as Outlook or Apple Mail.
