{"id":159,"date":"2025-05-19T11:19:36","date_gmt":"2025-05-19T15:19:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/inclusive-excellence\/?page_id=159"},"modified":"2025-05-23T11:13:31","modified_gmt":"2025-05-23T15:13:31","slug":"university-collaborative-for-inclusive-excellence","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/inclusive-excellence\/university-collaborative-for-inclusive-excellence\/","title":{"rendered":"University Collaborative for Inclusive Excellence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University Collaborative for Inclusive Excellence is aimed at fostering a welcoming, fair, and inclusive campus environment that allows our students, alumni, faculty, and staff to reach their full potential in the learning and work environment. <\/p>\n<span class=\"prpl-button\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/1wcXaA2gbSBQhBnvSeHdzwqMZQopTpJDG\/edit?usp=sharing&#038;ouid=101201157693398461260&#038;rtpof=true&#038;sd=true\" target=\"_blank\">Download the Kick-off Presentation (NetID required)<\/a><\/span>\n<h2>Mission &#038; Purpose<\/h2>\n<p>The Collaborative&#8217;s aim is to weave inclusivity into the very fabric of our university, promoting an environment that values, respects, and supports community members. <\/p>\n<p>This Collaborative will serve as a central hub for dialogue, innovation, and action, and serves as the primary advisory committee to the Office of Inclusive Excellence and the University&#8217;s Leadership Team on matters promoting inclusive excellence and fairness, connection, and belonging concepts.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the Collaborative will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advocate for systemic change: Drive forward initiatives that address barriers to inclusion and connection through policy creation and recommending accountability measures. <\/li>\n<li>Promote University wide dialogue and collaboration: Create spaces for meaningful conversations to amplify marginalized voices and to move away from siloed work that has stifled our community. <\/li>\n<li>Support growth and development: Advance our community members around inclusivity and belonging and increase their knowledge base and skill sets to perform at a higher level in their roles. <\/li>\n<li>Measure and enhance impact: Create data-informed evaluative processes for everything so that nothing is based on an individual&#8217;s experience, but on the communities\u2019 experiences that we\u2019ve collected and studied.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Member Orientation and Training<\/h2>\n<p>The Office of Inclusive Excellence has developed a training series designed to prepare Collaborative members for their role in advancing inclusive excellence at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ.
