The Inserra Chair and the Italian Program at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ are very pleased to announce that Rosanna Coviello, double majoring in Italian and Jurisprudence, Law and Society, has been selected for the summer internship in Macerata.<\/p>\n

We are very pleased that Rosanna will represent the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Italian Program at the Sferisterio Arena<\/a> for this seven-week summer internship (June 19-Aug.7, 2017), in connection with the summer opera season, as part of a broader initiative about translation and pre-professional opportunities for students.<\/p>\n Rosanna will enjoy the unique chance to work on the surtitling of three operas (Madama Butterfly<\/em>, Turandot<\/em>, Aida<\/em>) within a translation and accessibility project overseen by a team of experts at the Macerata Opera Festival and the University of Macerata.<\/p>\n This is a paid internship supported by a $5,000 scholarship provided by Mr. Inserra via the Lawrence R. Inserra, Jr. Scholarship (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Foundation).
