Pep Band and Campus Band

The John J. Cali School of Music at ĢƵ invites students, faculty, and staff to keep their musical passion alive by joining one of our spirited ensembles — the ĢƵ Pep Band or the ĢƵ Campus Band.

ĢƵ Pep Band
From the first whistle of football season to the final buzzer of basketball games, the Pep Band brings high-energy sound and school spirit to the stands. Members rehearse just once per week — Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:00 PM — making it easy to stay involved while managing a busy schedule. In addition to the fun of making music, members who commit to the full year receive a small stipend.

“Being a part of the ĢƵ Pep Band is an opportunity to support your school and have a good time doing it,” says Dr. Thomas McCauley, Director of University Bands.

For more information, contact Dr. McCauley at mccauleyt@montclair.edu.

ĢƵ Campus Band
The Campus Band welcomes everyone from across the university community — students, faculty, and staff — to perform in a concert band setting. With only one rehearsal a week on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, the group prepares for one on-campus concert each semester. Whether you’ve been playing for years or are eager to pick up your instrument again, the Campus Band offers good music, good people, and a good time.

To learn how to join, contact Professor Sotiropoulos at sotiropoulot@montclair.edu or Dr. McCauley at mccauleyt@montclair.edu.

Whether you’re looking for the rush of performing in the stands or the camaraderie of a concert band, ĢƵ State offers a place for you to make music and memories.
