{"id":220589,"date":"2023-04-19T17:03:05","date_gmt":"2023-04-19T21:03:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/newscenter\/?p=220589"},"modified":"2023-04-20T11:50:28","modified_gmt":"2023-04-20T15:50:28","slug":"record-number-of-students-accepted-to-montclair-state-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/newscenter\/2023\/04\/19\/record-number-of-students-accepted-to-montclair-state-university\/","title":{"rendered":"Record Number of Students Accepted to Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Having received a record-breaking number of applications from prospective students this year, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ hosted two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/admissions\/accepted-student-day\/\">Accepted Student Days<\/a> this spring, hoping that turns into a record number of future Red Hawks.<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of both days, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ welcomed a total of 2,743 students and their guests, bringing the total number of visitors on Accepted Student Days to 8,040. Of the accepted students, 169 visited from out of state.<\/p>\n<p>On hand to welcome students were hundreds of faculty, staff, student ambassadors and volunteers, helping out with information sessions, tours, a student services fair and a \u201cmajors expo\u201d designed to help students think about what they might want to major in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccepted Student Day was an interactive and, most of all, fun opportunity to learn more about my major, the campus, and everything Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has to offer,\u201d said Eva C. of Bergen County. \u201cI can&#8217;t wait to start my fall semester at such a great university!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Video: Accepted Student Day at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kwkf7N6npzk?feature=oembed\" allow=\"accelerometer; 0px solid #000;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Students trying to decide whether Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ is the school for them were also treated with ice cream trucks, a DJ and dancing, and, of course, Rocky the Red Hawk, who welcomed them with outstretched wings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur reputation for student success and making it easier for students to apply to Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ have resulted in a record number of applications,\u201d says Jordanna Maziarz, Director of Undergraduate Admissions. \u201cWe look forward to welcoming many of them back in the fall as students!\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Photo
