The diverse community of faculty and staff that provide academic advisement to the undergraduate population serve various roles on campus and the structures they work within are nuanced based on College, academic program, and student profile. The Undergraduate Education team, along with the Advising Professional Development Committee, and the Advising Strategy Group, ensure opportunities for on-going professional enrichment are made available to all who do the important work of advising on campus.<\/p>\n<p>Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ bases its advising framework on the SSIPP philosophy of academic advising, which also creates the foundation for the professional development structure within the Advising 2025 grant.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022-2023, the Advising Professional Development Committee expanded its mission to ensure professional development opportunities were inclusive of academic coaching and career services colleagues.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/provost\/academic-advising\/advising-excellence-awards\/?\"><strong>Annual Advising Excellence Awards<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>In an effort to recognize our faculty and staff for their outstanding work in the areas of academic and career advising, The Office of the Provost proudly sponsors the Advising Excellence Awards, held annually in the spring.
