The study is titled &#8220;<a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0010027717300975\" target=\"_blank\">The relationship between pre-verbal event representations and semantic structures: The case of goal and source paths<\/a>.&#8221; Some of the critical research for this study came out of a recent National Science Foundation award. The main finding is that infants&#8217; representations of events can support language learning.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Lakusta&#8217;s research generally focuses on cognitive and language development in infants and children, specifically on the development of spatial concepts and spatial language acquisition.
