The festival will feature hundreds of food and retail vendors, activities for all ages and performances throughout the day.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Involvement<\/h2>\n<p>Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has once again agreed to be a sponsor at the Lantern Level which is a contribution of $10,000 to support the event. Also for the fifth year in a row, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/office-of-student-belonging\/advocacy-outreach\/\"><strong>Advocacy &amp; Outreach-Office Student Belonging<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/gender-sexuality-and-womens-studies\/\">Gender, Sexuality and Women&#8217;s Studies Program<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/president\/\">President&#8217;s Office<\/a> are working together to organize the University\u2019s participation. The University will host a tent showcasing our academics, student life and LGBTQIA+ focused services and programs at the University. Every year, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ tent is very popular. There are thousands of visitors and they need your help!<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Volunteers Wanted<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They are seeking volunteers at the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ tent for the shifts below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">9 a.m. &#8211; 1 p.m. (set up and working tent)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">12:30 a.m. &#8211; 3:30 p.m.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3 p.m. &#8211; 6:30 p.m. (Working tent and break down)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please register by Friday, May 29! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/afeoGZ1zfghhdfY18\">Sign Up To Volunteer!<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>About Out Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/outmontclair.org\/?_gl=1*1fw3t8u*_up*MQ..*_ga*MTYyMzU0ODY2OS4xNzc4Nzg3NTgw*_ga_6CWHN75S3T*czE3Nzg3ODc1NzkkbzEkZzAkdDE3Nzg3ODc1NzkkajYwJGwwJGgw\">Out Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ<\/a>\u00a0is a non-profit organization that was created to raise awareness and provide support and solidarity for the LGBTQIA+ community of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ and surrounding areas. Their mission is building community for people who are marginalized, to create safe spaces so no one feels alone, recognizing how the LGBTQIA+ are targeted for violence and to build capacity through knowledge, resources and in-person advocacy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 2022, Out Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ hosted the city of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ\u2019s very first Pride Festival, drawing unprecedented support from over 18,000 community members and securing sponsorship from hundreds of local vendors, including Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ. Since then, attendance has continued to grow each year.
