The Saturday academic component runs from September through May. Saturday sessions run from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During these sessions students receive the following services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>academic reinforcement in:\n<ul>\n<li>mathematics (e.g. pre-calculus, calculus, geometry, statistics and algebra I &amp; II)<\/li>\n<li>the sciences (e.g. biology, chemistry, physics)<\/li>\n<li>English \/ Language Arts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>one-on-one tutoring<\/li>\n<li>financial literacy<\/li>\n<li>peer leadership training<\/li>\n<li>team building activities<\/li>\n<li>personal development<\/li>\n<li>cultural field trips<\/li>\n<li>college campus visits<\/li>\n<li>counseling<\/li>\n<li>mentoring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Summer Program<\/h2>\n<p>During the summer program, students are exposed to six (6) weeks of classes from June to August, Monday through Friday, at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ. Participants will become familiar with some of the aspects of life on a college campus.
